Travis Burton, USDA Rural Development State Director for Kentucky, recently spent the day learning more about the region’s thriving businesses. Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation hosted Director Burton on visits to a variety of enterprises, including Day Spring, Renfro Supply, Cornett Farm Fresh, the ROOTS Project’s Drive and EST Tool.
During the visits, Director Burton heard directly from business owners and workers about their successes, as well as the challenges they face. USDA Rural Development remains an important partner in KHIC’s work through strong collaborations that include key loan programs and other critical funding sources.
