Longtime KHIC Board Chairman Bill Singleton recently received the J.C. & Azalie Egnew Lifetime Achievement Award from the McCreary County Heritage Foundation.
The award, named after another longtime KHIC partner, recognizes a lifetime of contributions to business, economic development and community service in McCreary County and throughout southeastern Kentucky.
Singleton, who has served on the KHIC board for almost 50 years, received the award during an event in Whitley City. He is retired from his position as president and chief financial officer of Lumber King, an ESOP-owned operator of five building supply stores headquartered in Whitley City, Ky. He also previously served on the board of directors and one term as president of the Kentucky Lumber and Building Materials Dealers Association and has been very active in local economic development and the Chamber of Commerce.
Congratulations on a well-deserved honor!
